چکیده

Functionally graded material (FGM) is an advanced class of composite material. In FGM, the volume fraction each constituent can be tailor-made across thickness for desired applications. this paper, analytical solution and numerical simulation free vibration transient heat conduction problem in a functionally pipe are considered. 3D elasticity theory adopted considering effect natural frequency derivation. For solving FG pipe, extended shifting variable method used. A multi layer model considered to numerically simulate behavior using standard finite element package. Results obtained from both simulations compared conduction. The 8- 16- models show higher accuracy simulating pipe. 16-layer model, difference between results under 0.18%. temperature distribution at specific position study various power law indices. will help tailor by adjusting ways application.

The method of fundamental solutions for transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials: some special cases

In this paper, the Method of Fundamental Solutions (MFS) is extended to solve some special cases of the problem of transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials. First, the problem is transformed to a heat equation with constant coefficients using a suitable new transformation and then the MFS together with the Tikhonov regularization method is used to solve the resulting equation.

Nonlinear vibration analysis of functionally graded plate in contact with fluid: Analytical study

In this paper, the nonlinear vibrations analysis of functionally graded (FG) rectangular plate in contact with fluid are investigated analytically using first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The pressure exerted on the free surface of the plate by the fluid is calculated using the velocity potential function and the Bernoulli equation. With the aid of von Karman nonlinearity strain-displ...

a contrastive study of rhetorical functions of citation in iranian and international elt scopus journals

writing an academic article requires the researchers to provide support for their works by learning how to cite the works of others. various studies regarding the analysis of citation in m.a theses have been done, while little work has been done on comparison of citations among elt scopus journal articles, and so the dearth of research in this area demands for further investigation into citatio...

Analysis of Transient Heat Conduction in 3D Anisotropic Functionally Graded Solids, by the MLPG Method

A meshless method based on the local Petrov-Galerkin approach is proposed for the solution of steady-state and transient heat conduction problems in a continuously nonhomogeneous anisotropic medium. The Laplace transform is used to treat the time dependence of the variables for transient problems. The analyzed domain is covered by small subdomains with a simple geometry. A weak formulation for ...

The simple boundary element method for transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials

This paper presents a ‘‘simple’’ boundary element method for transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials, which leads to a boundary-only formulation without any domain discretization. For a broad range of functional material variation (quadratic, exponential and trigonometric) of thermal conductivity and specific heat, the non-homogeneous problem can be transformed into the stand...
